The Iron Curtain
The Iron Curtain was Churchill's name for the division of East and West Germany. East Germany was communist and West Germany was democratic. The area between Eastern and Western Germany was called the "Little Berlin Wall."
Stopping Communism

The Berlin Airlift
The Soviets stopped land and water traffic into West Berlin, so the United States and Britain flew in supplies to West Berlin for eleven months until the blockade ended.
