The Yalta Conference
The Yalta Conference was a postwar plan that took place in February 1945 at Yalta. British leader Churchill, American leader Truman, and Soviet leader Stalin met and agreed to divide Germany into zones of occupation. Stalin agreed to allow free elections in Eastern Europe.
The United Nations
The United Nations was an international organization for peace. It was formed in June 1945 and included fifty nations. Five permanent members of the United Nations have security council to veto power. Those five nations are the United States, USSR, Britain, China, and France.
